Congratulations to Ben Conrad - Our newly minted Ph.D.

Nov. 21, 2016:  Ben Conrad, a Ph.D. student in the UW Robotics Lab, has successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation.  Ben's research has focused on the investigation of a new manipulator design concept known as Interleaved Continuum-Rigid Manipulation, with applications in minimally-invasive surgical procedures.  His dissertation describes his work related to the design and control of this new class of manipulators.   His research has resulted in two journal and three peer-reviewed conference papers.  Please join us in congratulating Ben on his achievement and wishing him well in his life after his time in the REACH lab.
